Begin at Ore, Ducasse au château de Versailles, in the renovated Pavillon Dufour. Have tea or coffee, water, and one pastry while looking across the royal courtyards. Then collect your paper palace ticket and use the dedicated entrance for the Château. Gardens and Trianon require separate tickets.
“It was a really unique experience, but I’m pretty sure we overpaid significantly. Everything could have been paid for individually with about 30 euros less. Skip the line wasn’t necessary for late September as there were no lines. Also the staff at the restaurant, while very nice, were confused by the voucher.”
