“Joao was an excellent tour guide. We did al the tour items listed. He saw the rain coming in and took us to the mountain first for a great view of the lakes. Most tours missed the view bc their guide saved the view for last. He also showed us some areas where the locals go for swimming and fishing. The tour is listed as a full day but he made sure we made it back to our cruise with time to spare! Best tour!!!!”

“These were by far the best two days I spent on Sao Miguel. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the guide (Jose? Who was in Canada?), he was super nice and gave our group so much knowledge about the island, which was really interesting. He also answered every question and you could feel his passion for his homeland and the people who live there on every tour. We also drove to a lot of beautiful places from which you can admire the beauty of the island. The food on the first day was great, the local stew wasn't to my taste, but everything was perfectly organized, including drinks and coffee.…”

“WOW! This was a fabulous experience. I chose a private solo tour as I was limited on time and had very specific things I wanted to do and see. Carlos is a local and knew so much about the island and history. With weather continually changing that day, he adjusted our locations so strategically so that we had the best views when the weather cleared. Took me to a smaller fabulous restaurant to try the local dish cooked in the thermal ground heat. Gave me plenty of alone time as I requested to explore on my own.
